Brisbane's southside is the part of the city our trucks pass through most — it sits between our Ormeau base and the inner city, so southside work fits naturally into the run. It is also a mixed bag of jobs: renovations and knock-down-rebuilds on older established blocks, industrial and warehouse work through Rocklea, Archerfield and Acacia Ridge, and pool, landscaping and container placements across the suburban belt from Mount Gravatt to Sunnybank.
What we lift on the southside
Hiab deliveries of steel, trusses, frames and brick packs onto builders' sites. Shipping containers and site sheds set down level on slabs or piers. Machinery and plant — generators, compressors, pump sets and tanks — lifted out of industrial units, moved and set back down level and ready to run. Pool and spa shells craned over the house. Landscaping supplies and feature rock placed over fences into back yards.
Established blocks and older streets
A lot of the southside is pre-war and post-war housing on smaller lots with mature trees, overhead services and narrow driveways. That usually turns a lift into a reach-and-set-up question: where the truck can legally stand on the street, and how far over the house or fence the load has to travel. It is the kind of job a crane truck suits well, but it is worth sorting out before the day.
Industrial estates through Rocklea and Acacia Ridge
Warehouse and workshop work runs differently — usually fine for truck access, but with roller doors, awnings, racking and other tenants to work around, and often a set window to get in and out. We're open 24 hours, so early starts and after-hours windows are normal for us.

- We use it for the suburbs south of the river — Woolloongabba, Annerley, Holland Park, Mount Gravatt, Coopers Plains, Sunnybank, Rocklea, Archerfield and Acacia Ridge. It is not the same as the suburb of South Brisbane, which is one small part of that area.
- Can you lift a pool shell over an older southside house?
- Often, yes — it depends on the weight of the shell, how far it has to travel from where the truck can stand, and what is overhead. Send photos of the street frontage and the yard and we'll tell you whether a crane truck can do it.
- Can you work inside an industrial estate at Rocklea or Acacia Ridge?
