The challenge

A 40ft container had to be collected and set on prepared footings well back from the gate on a rural-residential block near Ripley. The internal track was gravel, crowned and damp, so driving the loaded truck all the way in risked bogging and cutting up the owner's driveway.

How we did it

We assessed the ground on arrival, parked on the firmest section of hardstand we could reach and made up the remaining distance with reach rather than wheels. The container was lifted in one pass and eased down onto the footings with the owner spotting the door end.

The outcome

The container landed level on its footings, the gravel track came away unmarked, and the job was finished well inside the booked window.
